Have I been? Nowhere, but I have been busy. School planning is hot and heavy right now and we had a lovely baby shower for my sweet friend today. This picture doesn't have the sock monkey topper and little monkey security blanket, but it still looks cute. Don't you love baby booties??
Moving the son to college 3 weeks early because he was invited to participate in a fast track calculus class (calculus from 9am to 3pm everyday)-sounds fun right? Trips to Hilton Head coming soon and work on the barn is moving along. We actually have siding on some of it now. Will post pics of that too. Hope everyone is staying cool and having a great weekend!

New fun with a paintbrush!
I really enjoy stamping. I better because I do a lot of it every day. The stamps and inks are fun to use on both muslin and paper, but I tried something new yesterday and I just love it! Painting on the muslin with Martha Stewart any surface paint. I have to say that girl is crafty! I bought the fabric medium so that the bag will stay soft where it is painted. The colors are very vibrant and it is easier on the wrists than stamping. Super fun with super cute results. Have listed these sets of 8 on my Etsy. Can't wait to try more stencils. You can paint on ceramic and glass and just about anything.

An Unexpected Adventure
This last week I was able to travel to Knoxville and visit with my parents. I didn't realize my husband was travelling all week, so as soon as I knew, I made plans to go. I did get one of my table runners completely finished and I have a second one about 1/2 way done. I did a few Etsy orders while I was there, but left most of that behind. I have been paying for it though!! I have discovered that I really like my SLICE machine. I wish I used it more, but it is so cool. I made these sweet pink onesie tags for a customer. There are so many designs that I haven't even tried yet. Also worked on a few new designs for bags too. School planning is also in full swing. I have been working on the geography class I will be teaching this next year and also researching church history figures for the high school students. It is funny how summer seems to just zoom by. My 2 older kids are busy planning, purchasing and packing for the fall semester. They are of course playing as well. Still looking forward to some time in Hilton Head with the family in July and August. How goes your summer???

All You Need Is DOVE
I made no bake chocolate cookies today and instead of using the typical 4 TBSP of cocoa, I used 2 1/2 TBSP and 2 Dove dark chocolates. All the other ingredients are the same (1 stick butter, 2 cups sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 c milk (I use half n half), 1 cup peanut butter (I use natural) and 3 cups of oats. They are really yummy if you have never had them and the Dove chocolate just makes them that much better!
